  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For Chocolate Frosting:

  • Add 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk of choice see notes

For Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • Add 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk of choice see notes

For Vanilla Frosting:

  • Add 1-2 tablespoons milk of choice see notes

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the powdered sugar and butter until smooth. Incorporate the vanilla extract.
  • Stir in the specific ingredients for your chosen flavor. Beat until you achieve the desired consistency. For a thinner frosting, gradually add more milk.

Notes:
  • Each serving is approximately 1/2 cup.
  • To make vegan frosting, use dairy-free butter and dairy-free cream cheese substitutes.
  • Begin with 1 tablespoon of milk and add incrementally as needed.
To Store:
Store your frosting in a sealed container in the refrigerator, where it will last for up to 1 week. Allow the frosting to sit at room temperature for 30-45 minutes before using.
To Freeze:
For freezing, place the frosting in a shallow container. It can be stored for up to 2 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight, then bring to room temperature before use.
